About the Discovery Wealth Management Learnership
The Discovery Institute of Training supports the development of Discovery’s sales and distribution workforce. Its training activities cover Discovery product lines as well as industry-related financial services content.
Through this learnership participants will complete structured learning while gaining practical workplace experience in the financial services industry.
The programme ultimately leads to the NC: Wealth Management NQF Level 5 qualification.
Who Should Apply?
The opportunity is suitable for young South Africans who have completed Grade 12 and want to gain a recognised qualification and workplace exposure within financial services.

What Learners Will Do
The learnership provides exposure to both financial services and learning and development activities.
Participants may support financial planning and learning specialists with the review and development of training materials for financial advisers.
Their responsibilities may also involve researching financial products and market trends and regulatory changes to help ensure training material remains accurate and relevant.
Learners may gather and analyse information for training materials and case studies and scenario-planning exercises. They may also assist with reports and summaries used when developing training resources.
Other responsibilities include maintaining training resources and collecting participant feedback and contributing ideas to improve training solutions.
Participants will also keep up with developments in financial advising and wealth management while taking part in ongoing professional development.
Professional Development and Mentorship
The programme provides learners with opportunities to engage with experienced Certified Financial Planners (CFPs) and learning and development practitioners.
This interaction is intended to provide guidance and mentorship while participants build their professional knowledge and workplace experience.
