The University of the Western Cape (UWC), working together with W&RSETA, is offering an Administrative Internship Programme for 2026.
This opportunity is aimed at graduates and students who want to gain hands-on experience in administration, research, and programme support within a professional academic environment.
Location: Western Cape, South Africa
Monthly Stipend: R9 000 per month
Closing Date: 15 May 2026 (17:00)
About the Programme
This internship is part of a Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) initiative designed to help candidates transition from classroom learning to real workplace experience.
You’ll be placed within the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, supporting projects linked to:
- Skills development
- Entrepreneurship
- Retail sector growth
- Transformation initiatives
What You’ll Be Doing
As an intern, your role will include a mix of administrative and support duties such as:
- Managing documents and office records
- Assisting with meetings, reports, and scheduling
- Supporting events, workshops, and stakeholder engagement
- Helping with research tasks and data collection
- Preparing presentations and basic reports
This gives you real exposure to how projects and departments operate daily.
