Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be unemployed
  • Be between 18 – 35 years old
  • Have Matric (Grade 12) / NQF Level 4
  • Be a resident of Makhado Local Municipality (proof required)
  • Have no experience (training will be provided)
  • Have a certified South African ID
  • Submit a short CV

Duties and Responsibilities

🧹 Cleaning & Waste Management

  • Litter picking and street sweeping
  • Cleaning public spaces (parks, taxi ranks, CBDs, villages)
  • Waste collection support
  • Participate in municipal clean-up campaigns
  • Assist with recycling separation

Greening & Gardening

  • Tree planting and greening projects
  • Gardening and maintenance of public spaces
  • Watering, weeding, and landscaping
  • Environmental rehabilitation support

Targeted Beneficiaries

Preference will be given to:

  • Women (60%)
  • Youth (55%)
  • Persons with disabilities (2%)
  • Child-headed and indigent households (proof required)
