Knysna Municipality, in partnership with Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority, is inviting unemployed youth to apply for the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026. This exciting opportunity is designed for TVET College students who still require practical workplace experience to complete their qualifications.

Knysna Municipality WIL Programme 2026 Details

Programme: Work Integrated Learning (WIL) Programme 2026
Location: Knysna, Western Cape
Duration: 18 Months
Number of Opportunities: X20 Posts
Closing Date: 28 May 2026

As part of building human capital and developing future professionals, Knysna Municipality together with CHIETA is offering an 18-month Work Integrated Learning Programme to unemployed youth residing within the municipality.

Fields of Study / Qualifications Required

Applications are open to TVET College students who have completed their theoretical studies and still need in-service training in the following fields:

  • National Diploma / N6 Public Management
  • National Diploma / N6 Management Assistant
  • National Diploma / N6 Business Management
  • National Diploma / N6 Human Resources Management

This programme offers graduates the opportunity to gain practical workplace exposure and complete the experiential training required for their qualifications.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the Knysna Municipality WIL Programme 2026, applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be a permanent resident within the Knysna Municipality area
  • Have completed coursework and require in-service training
  • Preference will be given to applicants from previously disadvantaged groups

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following certified supporting documents:

  • Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Certified copy of South African ID (not older than 6 months)
  • Proof of residence
  • Certified copies of qualifications
  • Bank statement less than 3 months old
