Vodacom Youth Academy IT Learnership 2026

The Vodacom Foundation is inviting unemployed youth to apply for the Youth Academy IT Learnership Programme 2026.
This programme is designed to equip young South Africans with practical ICT skills and real-world experience in the tech industry.
About the Programme
Participants will receive training in key ICT areas such as:
- Installation of IT equipment
- System analysis
- Database design
- Computer refurbishment
- Troubleshooting and connectivity
Learners who complete the programme will be better prepared to work on future technology projects.
Stipend & Duration
- Learners will receive a monthly stipend
- Programme duration: 12 months (fixed-term contract)
Training Locations
The programme is offered at Vodacom ICT Centres across:
- Gauteng
- North West
- Mpumalanga
- Eastern Cape
- Limpopo
- Free State
- Northern Cape
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Have a Matric certificate
- Subjects required:
- English (1st or 2nd Language)
- Maths or Maths Literacy
- Business Studies or Physical Science
- Be unemployed youth (18–34 years old)
- Live near a Vodacom ICT Centre
- Be a South African citizen (valid ID required)
- Not have received similar training before
- Not be receiving any bursary or financial support
Additional Criteria
- Applicants must come from a disadvantaged background
- Priority is given to Quintile 1–3 schools
- Incomplete or false information will lead to disqualification
