About the TETA-WMU Scholarship
This prestigious scholarship supports South Africans employed in the maritime sector to pursue a Master of Science in Maritime Affairs at the World Maritime University (WMU) in Sweden. It is aimed at enhancing skills development and leadership in the maritime industry.
Invitation The Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA) for South African professionals to apply for the TETA-WMU Scholarship for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Due Date: 30 May 2025
Placement: World Maritime University (WMU), Malmö, Sweden
Qualification Funded: MSc in Maritime Affairs
Funding Coverage: Fully funded scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be academically accepted by WMU
- Be currently employed within the maritime sector in South Africa
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the maritime field
- Have been with their current employer for at least 12 months
- Submit a letter of support from their employer, confirming participation and return post-study
- Preference will be given to female candidates and middle managers

- Completed WMU application for admission (include your Matric certificate)
- Certified ID document
- Certified passport (or certified copy of passport application)
